# Deraya University

Deraya University is a private university in New Minia, Minia Governorate, about 240 km south of Cairo, established by Presidential Decree No. 91 of 2010 and supervised by Egypt's Ministry of Higher Education. It comprises ten accredited colleges, four of which are operational — Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Dentistry, and Business Administration — while colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Art and Design, Mass Communication, and Linguistics are approved but not yet launched. Its 47-feddan campus hosts roughly 4,600 students under the motto 'Knowledge shapes the future.' The College of Pharmacy holds accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Education (NAQAAE), alongside formal recognition by Syria's Ministry of Higher Education.
